Being an artist, Frank Grau is often asked to place his talents in the service of his family. His ten-year-old daughter, a fan of the American Girl series, wrote a poem for a contest held by American Girl, and she asked him to create an illustration for her poem.

Naturally, he jumped at the opportunity to do something with her, so he got to work on the illustration you see here. Being able to do something creative with one’s child is the kind of thing which makes art so much fun.
