Sylvie Pinsonneaux has long been revered as one of the industries leading exponents of vector artwork, combining her love of graphics with a natural flair for style and art.
Born in France in 1971, she is both graphic designer and digital artist. After moving to Paris and studying art at La Sorbonne, her talent was soon recognised and many doors into the world of advertising began to open for her.
After a number of years working for communication agencies like DDB and L’Agence in France, she decided to move to Portugal and concentrate on the illustration side of things. Commissions came thick and fast from magazines such as Lux, Lux Deco and Activa where her natural sense of style fitted in perfectly.
She remained true to her ‘graphic design’ roots and continued working for agencies for the next five years before receiving an offer she ‘couldn’t resist’ and moved to Italy to work for Publicis. Her reputation was gaining momentum and now, represented by international agents, she became a professional freelance illustrator. There was no looking back!
Working in Illustrator, Sylvie quickly produces roughs for client approval before adding colour and ‘tweaking’ her work as necessary.
An impressive client list that incudes Nivea, Kelloggs, Microsoft, Vogue, Glamour, Femme Actuelle, Harrods, BAA and the BBC tells me she made the right move.
