After graduating from art school, Onno Knuvers started working in an animation studio producing work for prestigious clients such as Disney, Nelvana and Warner Bros. The studio’s closure was probably was probably a blessing in disguise for him. He became a freelance illustrator and has since worked on a wide variety of projects creating and animating his own characters.
He recently illustrated two children’s picture books for Scholastic – ‘Out in Space’ and ‘Dinosaur Day’, and animated two short films for the Toronto Animated Image Society. He also developed and produced a range of limited edition plush toys for Chocolate Log Industries in Auckland and his work has been exhibited in Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand and the USA.
Born in the Netherlands, Onno grew up in New Zealand and currently lives in Melbourne, Australia.
