“Strangely enough nearly all my cat drawings have either been private commissions or for my Christmas card designs or just as samples. Only once has a cat appeared in a commission piece, which was for Oxford University Press. Mostly its dogs clients want, and over time I have done quite a few illustrations of dogs for Heritage Art Papers – usually ridiculous dogs doing daft things!”
